Buying used machinery from Germany: how sourcing on request works
You describe the machine. We find it in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, inspect it on site, buy it with documents and export it to you. Search is free, the inspection fee is fixed and credited to the deal, and you pay a deposit only after you have seen the report.
Who this is for
- Farms and agricultural enterprisesTractors, combines, implements with dealer service history.
- Construction and logistics contractorsExcavators, loaders, forklifts, trucks from rental returns and fleet renewals.
- ManufacturersRelocating or expanding capacity with lines and equipment from plant closures.
- HVAC and refrigeration integratorsChillers, air handling units, compressors from efficiency retrofits.
- Dealers outside the EULooking for stock with clean documents.
The problem with buying blind
The German second-hand market is large and well-documented – and full of ways to lose money from a distance: a listing that hides a cracked block, a seller who is not the owner, a machine without export-ready papers, a transport quote that doubles at pick-up. Distance is the risk. We remove it by being there.
The process, step by step
Request
You tell us what you need: type, make/model or equivalent, year and hours range, must-have options, budget range, delivery country, timing. Five minutes on the form.
Search – free
We work dealers, farms, contractors, insolvency administrators and plant closures in DE, AT and CH. Within 5 business days you get a shortlist with photos, prices and our first assessment. No obligation.
Inspection – fixed fee, credited
You pick a candidate; we go and inspect it: walk-around, cold start, hours, hydraulics, tyres or tracks, electronics, service history, ownership documents. You receive a report with photos and video. The fee covers travel and time and is fully credited against the deal if you buy. If the machine fails inspection, we tell you so – and go to the next candidate.
Purchase
You approve the report and the total price. We sign a contract with the seller, you pay a deposit (typically 30–50 %) and we buy. The seller's invoice is visible to you.
Export and shipping
Export declaration (EX-1/MRN), 0% VAT for export, CMR, transport to the agreed point – border, port or your site. Balance is due before dispatch.
Handover
Machine, documents, export evidence. Import clearance in your country: your broker or ours on request.
